Sweet Girl

This is a charcoal drawing of a student a student in my art activity class at school. First I sketch a picture of her and I was so glad that she didn't know I was doing just that.  Behind her wasn't a plant I added it to give the picture a feel of the curves of her body.  But this is not one of my favorites yet I love the gentleness of her smiles.

Sea Of People Trinity

These are some watercolour paintings I been working on in continuing my Sea Of People trinity.  My professor told me that it was a good idea to make more paintings like this and I do think she were right. My concept with these paintings is that these "hoodies" people of different shades and colors in itself is of God creations. We all come from different background but most of us serve a God and look forward to peace within ourselves and others.

DeAsia and Kamari

This contour drawing is of my grandchildren De'Asia and Kamari who gives me the inspiration to continue to make art.  I'm very fascinated with the shapes and roundness of the human figure.  I think the first artist God himself were a mastermind to created the beauty of the human form and I may not equal up to his expertise but someway I might come close.  My instructor at William Carey College says I have a gift with constructing the shapes of heads.  And by George she just might be right!  Of course I have to try harder with the rest of the body.  With that said I have to study my other inspirations like Michaelangelo, Rubens, and Cezanne.
